Inclusion into Practice

This National conference
is an opportunity for professionals to further develop their own practice towards inclusive play, childcare, youth and leisure services, and is aimed at service and senior managers, strategic planners and decision makers . The conference will focus on strategic management and development, to enable planners, commissioners and providers to attain, maintain and develop quality inclusion in practice within the statutory and voluntary play, childcare, youth and leisure sectors.

Devon Local Involvement Network Launches

To hear what community groups have to say about health and social services, or to add your own views, join in the September launch  of the Devon Local Involvement Network at venues throughout Devon.  Backed by legislation, the NHS and Local Authority have a duty to respond to any recommendations made by the network.

Registration at 12.45 pm followed by a presentation about the Devon LINk, then an
opportunity to contribute to LINk workshop issues accompanied by a Devon
Cream Tea.  The event will close at 4 pm and there will be assistance with
car mileage costs plus carer's costs will be covered (if arranged in advance
with EDVSA).  Please note that places at events are limited to 4
representatives per organisation in order to allow as many groups to attend

Introduction to Islam

Understanding the needs of prisioners' families

The String of Pearls have produced a one day training package to make people more aware of the experiences of those with a loved one in prison. They have trained a wide range of people including probation, social workers , magistrates, police, job centres, teachers etc. The String of Pearls is a community interest company that supports prisoners families and endeavours to give them a voice. As part of this they deliver training to professionals, or any other interested parties, in order for those taking part to be better informed as to the experiences of prisoners families.
